Eveline Olivier, Necromantic Nihilist

Past. A refugee of an Aslakian raid on the Lumontish border village of Ghellaine, Eveline joined her family and neighbors on the long march to the nearby city of Colirdis in the hopes of finding refuge. When they arrived, however, they and thousands of others were left to camp outside the city's over-swollen walls while hunger and disease ate through the encampments.

In the end, when a draconic raid damaged the city's defenses and killed most of the refugees outside the walls, Eveline realized that all of their efforts had been for naught—that her family would have been better off dying in the initial attack, rather than suffering for months in the hopes of something better. When Cyril found her and offered her an opportunity to make their deaths mean something through service to her will, Eveline took it with grim determination.

Present. With long bangs and short-cut black hair that hovers above her shoulders, Eveline might have been beautiful once—save for the forest of pockmarks that covers the left side of her face from the bout of smallpox she survived in the refugee camps. She is soft-spoken, but has a will of iron, and carefully considers each and every word that she says.

At the time the players arrive in the Tomb of Divine Rays, Evelin is guarding the Hall of Heroes with the vanguard of Cyril's undead guards, prepared to stop any intruders who might threaten Cyril's plans.

Future. Eveline isn't sure if Cyril's path is the right way forward. She's skeptical that his plan, even if it succeeds, will do anything but extend its targets' suffering until they inevitably die again in pain and despair. However, she sees the ritual itself as a fitting opportunity to end the pain of Saint Marten's starving, poor, and diseased. More importantly, she is deeply grateful to Cyril for the magic and purpose he gave her; to abandon him in his hour of need is something she could never condone.
