The Flank
If the players circumvent Eveline's fortifications and encounter the defending force from behind, or if hostilities cool temporarily:
Guillaume hasn't seriously entertained the possibility of an escape from Sebastien's control, but is happy to conspire with the players if they can get him alone (and convince him to control his hunger long enough to parlay). Even so, he's an unreliable ally at best, and a lurking traitor at worst.
Roan sees the players as his best ticket to freedom, and is happy to conspire with them if they get him alone (though he can't take any material actions to aid them until Eveline is dead). Even so, he has no interest in aiding the players' crusade, trusting his curse and undead nature to protect him from Cyril's ritual.
Eveline knows that what Cyril needs most is time, and is glad to keep the players talking until Cyril's ritual ends. If she does so successfully, a small earthquake shakes the catacombs as his ritual reaches its crescendo. Once this occurs, any non-undead creature that can't cast at least one Necromancy spell takes 1d4 necrotic damage each time it starts its turn in the Gathering Hall.
Sebastien is happy to do whatever it takes to get his hands on Dumont's book. If he thinks the players might let him have it, he might be willing to ally with them (bringing Guillaume along for the ride); if not, he's glad to deceive them into doing his dirty work (such as by claiming to be a secret plant of the Lumont Imperium) or plead for mercy (if he feels a real threat to his life). However, Sebastien has no intention of sticking his neck out or risking his life for anyone else—least of all the players.
